You may see any doctor in the practice. However, it is preferable to see one doctor consistently for any single period of illness. Surgeries are by appointment, which can be made personally or by telephoning 0844 477 2430. For problems that can wait for several days appointments can be booked in advance.
We keep some appointments open each day to let us respond to sudden, severe problems that won't wait. These appointments are slightly shorter and aren't suitable for dealing with complicated, non-urgent problems. However, you are unlikely to see the doctor of your choice, but be reassured that all information is available to all doctors through our computer data-base therefore they will have the latest and up-to-date information on your ongoing medical treatment.
It is important that you let us know if you cannot attend an appointment that you have booked, we would also like you to note that if you are late for an appointment it may not always be possible for the doctor to see you and may lead to the appointment being rescheduled to another time.
The doctors provide a home visiting service at their own discretion and we suggest you click on the "home visit" link for more information on this.We do however, ask you to please if you can, attend the surgery where we can make a better assessment of you, it also uses our time more efficiently so reducing the wait for an appointment. For these reasons we may well telephone before visiting.
